ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music videorecordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording which can be permanently encoded into a product as its digital fingerprint. Encoded ISRC provide the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments.
GS1 UK, the Association of Independent Music (AIM), the British Recorded Music Industry (BPI) and Music Managers Forum (MMF), are working together to make it easier for you to get your music into the stores, online and on to the charts, ensuring you receive those royalties you rightly deserve.
Each country has at least few performing rights societies.
